 Op 1 mei organiseert de Wereldraad Kortenberg het eerste tweejaarlijk symposium onder de titel " Meningen  over  Congo". 

   Keynote-sprekers: belichten de huidige toestand in Congo

- Nadia N’Sayi (Pax Christi-Broederlijk Delen): vanuit politiek-militair oogpunt

-  Marti Waals (voorheen Memisa): vanuit sociaal-cultureel oogpunt

-  Jean Jacques Lumumba (economist):vanuit de economische toestand
